Process for Becoming an Urban Peak Volunteer

Fill out the online VOLUNTEER APPLICATION.

Print a copy of the VOLUNTEER PACKET  and the  VOLUNTEER MANUAL, fill out the paperwork and return to the Volunteer Manager.

Attend an orientation/tour/training here at our shelter. The next volunteer orientation will be Saturday, March 18th, 2017 from 12:30 to 2:30. Upcoming orientations after that will be

  • Saturday, April 8th from 12:30 to 2:30
  • Saturday, May 13th from 12:30 to 2:30
  • Saturday, June 17th from 12:30 to 2:30

TB Skin tests are required for all volunteers who work in the shelter.  Go to either your doctor’s office or the Health Department located at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Rd.  Cost is $20.

Fingerprints cost $15 and the card is given at the following locations.  Return the fingerprint card and $39.50 for processing to the Manager of Volunteer Services.

Stetson Hills Police Station – 4110 Tutt Blvd. 80922 Wednesdays 9am – 5pm

Police Operations Center – 7055 S. Nevada, 80903 Monday through Friday 7am – 5pm or Saturday 8am – 4pm

Complete the volunteer interview and training program.
