Meal Service – Groups

 Please read thoroughly 

Help fulfill a basic need by providing youth with a hot nutritious meal.  We are looking for groups of 2 – 6 volunteers for two hour shifts at both our Drop-In Center and Shelter.  We offer meals 365 days a year and use volunteer support every day.  One-time and re-occurring opportunities are available.  Please review the following information and complete the group meal application to get involved.

Requirements & Needs 

  • Drop-In Center (The SPOT)
    • 2100 Stout Street, Denver
    • Minimum age for volunteers is 18
    • Time Commitment:
      • Breakfast: Monday – Wednesday — Friday from 8:30 am -10:30 am
      • Youth served: 30 – 40
  • Shelter
    • 1630 South Acoma Street, Denver
    • Minimum Age for Volunteers: 12 years old (minors must have adult/guardian present at all times)
    • Time Commitment:
      • Breakfast: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:00 am – 8:30 am
        Wednesday from 8:00 am – 9:30 am
        Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 am – 10:30 am
      • Lunch: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
        Saturday & Sunday 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
      • Dinner: Seven days a week from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
    • Youth served: 40-45
    • We have very limited weekend or evening opportunities available at this time.

* Please advise when you sign up whether you will bring food or prepare the food we provide. If you choose to donate food for breakfast or lunch, please be aware that we are required by USDA to serve a specific menu. If you plan on bringing the food, please note it must be prepared at Urban Peak or in a commercial kitchen.
