UpDoNA Cares About Our Youth
Urban Peak’s partnerships come in many different forms, and this month we’d like to highlight the amazing, caring folks at UpDoNA Cares, a branch of Denver's Upper Downtown Neighborhood Association that supports organizations working with homeless populations.

Members of the association – like UpDoNA Cares board member Ron Townsend and his wife Sue – have supported Urban Peak in a myriad of ways. They generously sponsored our fundraiser gala, Urban Nights, in 2024. They also provide a pipeline for the Upper Downtown community to connect directly with our youth, with members of the association coming in to teach hard and soft skills like GED tutoring.
Additionally, we’re grateful to UpDoNA Cares for volunteering monthly to serve lunch at The Mothership. They provide all the food themselves, and Ron has been doing it for so long that he’s become a bit famous for his brownies. Thank you Ron, Sue, and the whole Upper Downtown community for consistently showing up for our youth where they are!
