Serve a Meal – ON HOLD from 3.24.2020-4.30.2020

We serve approximately 100 meals per month between our Drop-In Center (downtown) and Shelter location (off South Broadway).

This opportunity is appropriate for groups of 2 to 6 individuals**Due to safety, we require at least two individuals per meal group.

Please note the minimum age to volunteer at the Drop-In Center downtown is 18 and the minimum age to volunteer at the Shelter is 12.

Breakfast and dinner are served at our Drop-In Center Monday – Friday.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at our Shelter 7 days a week (with the exception of lunch on Wednesday).

Send a handwritten note of Encouragement to Urban Peak Youth and Staff

Our goal is for each youth and staff to receive at least one message over the next few weeks. You can also leave messages of support on Facebook or Instagram and we will pass along each message to a youth or staff. You can send these notes to us at:

Make Face Masks

Make face masks for our front-line staff until we are able to access medical-grade supplies. Guidelines for how to sew these masks are available here.

Other Group Volunteer Opportunities (updated as of March 2020)

Thank you for your interest. We currently do not have any group volunteer opportunities at this time outside of meal group volunteering. We will update this page as volunteer opportunities become available.

Individual Volunteer Opportunities (updated as of March 2020)

We have a limited number of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for individuals to get involved, on a longer-term, ongoing basis. These opportunities can include GED tutoring, class offerings (such as yoga or art) or administrative support. Our current individual volunteer opportunities are:

  • Peak Thrift volunteers – various times, various hours. **
  • Education Tutors – Mondays 3-5pm; Tuesdays 1:30-5pm; Thursdays 2:30-5pm; and Fridays 3-5pm available. **
  • Employment Skills Training Volunteer (assist with resume building and interview preparation) – Once a month on Tuesdays available. **
  • Landscaping volunteers – various times, various hours, various locations in Denver.

** = We require at least a 6 month commitment for these opportunities and a $42 background check fee.
