Hair Care is Self-Care

Raven is hard at work on Nae’s new braids

Through a partnership with Urban Peak, the Celebrate Life Foundation set out to uplift and empower youth by investing in their self-care and confidence. With a simple but profound goal—to help young people feel seen and valued—Celebrate Life mobilized an incredible network of barbers, hairstylists, braiders and locticians from across the Denver community.

Answering the call with heart and generosity, these professionals donated their time and talents to provide free haircuts, styles, braids, loc retwists and more for our youth. The impact was immediate and beautiful.

Over 40 young people received these services, leaving not only with fresh looks but with renewed spirits, beaming pride and a deepened sense of self-worth.

This initiative was more than a makeover—it was a moment of healing, confidence and community care. A reminder that when we come together, we can help youth feel ready to take on the world.

Urban Peak would like to thank our volunteers Mallory Forn, Essence Russell, Nishetta Crawford, Arias Carroll, Rave Shanee, Shakym Perry Mazion, Kareem Lumumba, Kamilah Anthony, Lonnie and Chaboi. You have each helped transform young lives for the better!
